Welcome to
Miller Bathroom Project

Built in 1987, this home in Mint Hill, North Carolina had a dated primary bathroom that no longer fit the homeowner’s lifestyle. The client, a single woman, dreamed of a bathroom that felt fresh, modern, and functional, a peaceful retreat inspired by mid-century modern design.

As part of our full-service interior design, Bodesign Studio reimagined the space to deliver both beauty and function. The design began with a square terrazzo tile in a soft blue-green tone paired with vertically installed white matte ceramic subway tiles.
A toasted oak vanity added organic warmth and balance, while medicine cabinet mirrors brought hidden storage and clean lines. Sculptural wall sconces echo the curvature of the mirrors, creating soft, flattering light.
We retained the existing bathroom layout but we opened up the space. A freestanding tub with an integrated seating feature was added, along with a walk-in Italian-style shower. To maximize openness, we replaced the traditional swing door with a sliding glass barn door which instantly improved functionality and visual space.

The result is a midcentury modern bathroom remodel completely tailored to the client’s lifestyle.
